Currently, Dr. Fang serves as Executive Vice Chairman of Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd. He is mainly in charge of Strategic Affairs, International Investment and Financing and ESG.

Paul is an economic geologist, with over 20 years of experience in the global mining and metals industry. As Head of Battery Raw Materials at Fastmarkets, Paul lead our global team of analysts that produce short- and long-term forecasts that provide supply/demand balances and price forecasts for lithium, cobalt, graphite, nickel and manganese. This team also produces the Fastmarkets Battery Recycling Outlook and Battery Cost Index. Paul's key objectives are to help our customers navigate market volatility and provide them with a strategic advantage in these exciting but challenging markets. As such, Paul is keen to make connections, discuss our battery raw materials forecasts, outlooks and market insights, and understand how we can develop these to support our customers’ evolving needs. Before joining Fastmarkets, Paul worked for the British Geological Survey, holding the roles of Head of Critical Raw Materials, and most recently Director of the UK Critical Minerals Intelligence Centre.
